Prof. Suddhasatwa Basu
Prof. Suddhasatwa Basu completed Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1993 (MS/Ph.D) and B.Tech from Calcutta University in 1987 and worked for four years (1994-1997) as a postdoctoral fellow and as a visiting faculty at University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He joined Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.) Delhi in 1998 and currently he is Professor (on-lien) and former Head of Chemical Engineering Department, Associate Dean Research & Development of I.I.T. Delhi. At present, he is the Director, CSIR-Institute of Minerals & Materials Technology, Bhubaneswar. His broad research interests are in the area of energy materials and its application in hydrogen energy and fuel cell technology, ion-battery, water splitting, CO2 reduction. He has published 177 high impact Journal articles with H-index of 35. He has under taken 12 crores Rupees (14 million USD) of sponsored research projects from DST, GAIL, DRDO, ONGC. At present he is the project coordinator of Centre of Excellence on DST-Energy Storage Platform on Battery at IIT Delhi. He is a Fellow of National Academy of Science of Indian, Institute of Engineers and Indian Chemical Society. He has received several national awards and currently member of Editorial Board / Editor of several international journals published by Nature-Springer, Wiley and Elsevier.
